GITEX Technology Week 2021 - event summary

The world's largest technology trade show, GITEX Technology Week, took place in Dubai from 17-22 October 2021. As every year, it gathered leaders of the world of business and new technologies, strongly involved in the development, as well as governmental entities. EBIS also had the pleasure of participating in this international event.

More than 3,500 exhibitors from over 140 countries participated in the 41st edition of the event. The fair brought together innovators in artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud, cyber security, blockchain, fintech and more. These themes were explored across six events - Gitex Global, Ai Everything, Gitex Future Stars, the Future Blockchain Summit, Fintech Surge and Marketing Mania - which combined to present the technology sector in the broadest possible perspective.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, describes the event as follows: "GITEX represents our national aspirations for the economy of the future. It also represents the UAE in bringing together the East and West of the world to formulate their future aspirations in technology."

Numerous representatives from companies across industries, government organisations and start-ups confirmed once again that GITEX continues to identify and chart the world's hottest trends in the technology industry. Over the five days of the conference, several speakers took to the stage, delivering substantive content. It was also a time to meet and talk about the future of the data analytics and Power BI sector.

Among the visitors to our stand were both representatives of companies and local governments - especially from the UAE region. There were also representatives from European, American or Asian countries. Participation in GITEX 2021 is a memorable experience for EBIS. The data analytics and Power BI solutions we offered were met with great interest. We hope that we will be able to visit Dubai next year and establish new business relations.
